Digital Design Studio brings ALcad into one application
ALcad is part of Digital Design Studio, with its own CAD interface. Use one application and switch between RTL, ISA, Evolve and dedicated ALcad workspaces.
Altifigence is bringing Digital Design Studio and ALcad together in one application. Product pages, downloads, user guides and licence guidance now describe Digital Design Studio as the home for RTL development, ISA design, Evolve and CAD work.
ALcad keeps its name and dedicated interface
ALcad is provided as the CAD workspace inside Digital Design Studio. Its name, dedicated UI, tools, product page and documentation continue. The RTL editor and CAD workspaces keep interfaces designed for their respective tasks.
Switch workspaces from the application menu
Use the workspace menu at the top left to move between RTL & Logic Design, ISA, Evolve and ALcad. The ALcad group contains Schematic, PCB Layout, 3D CAD, 3D Assembly, SI / PI Analysis, and Wafer Process & Fab.
In Altifigence Cloud, you can open a project and switch between DDS and ALcad through this menu today. Available editing, export and analysis actions depend on the host and release.
One place for downloads and guidance
The shared Downloads page lists Digital Design Studio installers and the public release available for each platform. Older packages retain the capabilities of their release; this product integration does not automatically update an installed application.
Continue to use the ALcad product page and ALcad guide for CAD workflows. Combined distribution does not automatically change existing order terms or feature entitlements. The Software and Download Licence explains the applicable scope.
