Digital Design Studio adds GitHub and GitLab project sources
Set up an Altifigence project with a GitHub or GitLab repository URL and default branch, keeping familiar repository details alongside your design work.
Altifigence now supports GitHub and GitLab in project source settings for Digital Design Studio workflows. Choose your repository provider, enter its HTTPS address and set the default branch for your project.
The source settings keep the repository identity together with the Altifigence project. Teams can use the same setup for a GitHub repository or a GitLab project, including GitLab subgroup paths.
Set up a project source
Choose GitHub or GitLab as the repository provider.
Enter the HTTPS URL of your GitHub or GitLab repository.
Set the default branch and save the project source settings.
The repository address is checked against the selected provider and shown as a link to the repository. You can update or remove the saved source settings as your project changes.
What this update includes
This update covers project source configuration: the provider, repository address and default branch. Saving these details does not sign in to a provider account or transfer repository files. Continue using your existing Git tools for cloning, fetching, pulling and pushing.
GitHub Enterprise and self-managed GitLab hosts are outside this release. Repository permissions continue to be managed in GitHub or GitLab.
